Tests tests tests?

What's the difference between operational tests, functional tests and system tests on the aircraft manuals? Obviously they are different. Is the tests carried out differently or different stuffs are checked?

  They are the exact same thing. They are tests to make sure stuff is working properly.
  
  It can be anything from turning on a landing light to make sure it is working to testing the entire flight control or pressurization system.
